Nearly 200 Schumacher providers won prizes during the Portal Virtual Birthday Celebration recently. Gifts ranged from lunch for the entire Emergency Department to dinner-and-a-movie gift cards to Schumacher gear and giveaways.
It was all to commemorate the one year birthday of the Provider Portal, Schumacher's online communication hub for its medical directors, physicians and mid-level providers. New and enhanced portal features have been rolled out each month since its launch in June 2008, and now include not only quality, education, and communication tools and resources, but also convenience factors and collaboration tools.
The Portal was developed based on provider needs and input gleaned from interviews, survey feedback, and clinical and operational committees.
"Features are geared toward what Schumacher providers need and want at their fingertips, and at this one year milestone, this is just the beginning of much more to come," says Schumacher Corporate Communications Director Andrea LeBouef, MBA.
In the recent Virtual Celebration, providers participated in a scavenger hunt to explore features and offer feedback.
"Very high tech and relevant to my practice!" was one comment. Another provider said, "There is certainly a wealth of information, especially the CME." And another, "I love this portal! I had no idea there was so much here! This is a wonderful bonus!"
Congratulations to the many scavenger hunt winners. Schumacher Group wishes to thank all providers for participating, and for contributing ideas to continually enhance the Provider Portal.
